I feel the same as most of you, especially Laurent about opening my eyes in 2009, and so much happened in this decade that I couldn't begin fit it in to this thread - including living in four countries, two of those moves being transatlantic, going back to school twice, and both of them changing my life for the better, changing careers at least 4 times (although somewhat related), and making great money at times and going nearly broke at others.
The only constant throughout that entire time has been my GF, which I'm more greatful for than can be ever be put in to words.
This year especially was one of the most tumultuous - from doing the scary thing of leaving the highest profile job I've ever had, to starting a business, to so nearly getting financially screwed by someone we trusted so heavily, to winning against them in the final days of this year, it just didn't stop, but there were more positives than negatives.
But importantly to me personally, something happened in terms of my productions in 2009 that just changed everything. I went from productions that just didn't cut it, to having that "Aha" moment where they now sound like releases, and I have control over my output in terms of sound and quality.
I've got a feeling that 2010 and coming decade is going to be great...and if the last few days is anything to go by, also a lot of fun

been an average year... got my first couple tracks signed, though the future of them is a bit ambiguous...
i guess dealing with the label that signed my tracks, and a couple of other labels while looking for remixes etc really opened my eyes a lot to the other side of music: the industry (and i wasn't even dealing with big labels, so i can't pretend to have some deep insight or anything)...
the whole thing really screwed me around for the last couple months, and i havn't really been doing too much, apart from a few remixes that didn't get picked up because they didn't suit the sound of the labels...
i guess i'm hoping that this year i'll be able to 1: define my sound, and 2: define what i'm making music for: pure pleasure (don't try getting anything released etc), or just make my stuff more commercial, so it fits into genres which labels appreciate...
overall it was a good year though, i'm starting to not completely suck, so that's nice
