I agree with that, but would also add in addition that the whole terrorism thing is vastly exaggurated, and ultimately overall people aren't that bad, at least in this respect.
For every terrorist that is stopped 10x that amount of worth in civil liberties had to be infringed upon.
Crime rackets are probably 5x larger a problem. Hard drugs like crack or heroin or simply rackets that murder people are likely a larger issue.
