yep. for the version 3.x you can use the demo without ilok. though with version 4 that will change. at least decapitator demo is already ilok only and the upcoming version 4 of the older plugins will be probably ilok only as well.

none of my stuff has dongles so i aint gonna start now! hopefully in future they will move to a challenge/response system or something...

We do everything 'out of the box' so to speak, but we do make an exception for the Soundtoys plugins. They are definately the best software effects I have tried personally.

Echoboy & Filterfreak are essential tools. The new Decapitator is very nice too. It can replicate certain settings of our Culture Vulture quite well surprisgly enough!

I have also been demoing the new Lexicon PCM Native bundle. I have to say i'm completely blown away by the sound of these...

I got a private demo version from a guy who runs an online store in the US. He had a limited number of demos available which I think had to be individully activated by Lexicon.

The reverbs really sound incredible. The small space reverbs are really really great on percussion etc. The random hall algorithm is beautiful too. Will probably have to buy it once the demo runs out!

I'm sure there will be a public demo available soon, although you will have to have an Ilok to run it.

The best price I have seen for the full product is $1349, which as you say is very expensive.
