I was just in Vancouver last weekend. Gas was at 1.08. General groceries were slightly higher, not not that much.

Most electronics was way off price. I went to this London Drugs at Lougheed Centre in Burnaby. I would say prices are from 5%-10% higher than here.
$1300 a month gets you an old 1-bedroom on the west side (Sunset Beach)... it's crammed though, here's my friend's kitchen;
The bright side is that there's palm trees around the city all year round
and the view is to die for
