I actually made it to the event i got a text from a friend of mine around 11:45 letting me know that
Alex is going to go on earlier than planned i dunno if they were joking or what so i confirmed with
a few of my other friends and they told me the same thing so got ready then off to the guv i went!!!

Got there around 12:30 or so wow the guv was pack Rank 1 was on the decks and he was ripping
it up only got to hear 45mins of his set and have to say the 45mins were absolutely amazing!

It's been a while since the last time i saw them and there style never changes i guess thats a good thing!
They had the crowd pumped plus they had the best time slot imo they played a few great tunes Only
Love (Jerome Isma-Ae Remix) i really enjoyed the end of there set was EPIC to hear there olders tunes

I know people did not like his set imo he played better then he has in the past this
time around his set was good! took a while for me to get into it the last hour was
great one track that i'm not a fan of Ramsterdam (Jorn Van Deynhoven Remix)
When you hear this track live its a hole different story i think a few djs played this tune
i would have to say my fav tune that he played was Last Light Tonight holy shit

This is the reason why i came to find out around 1:30 that he will be closing i was pissed
i'm like fuck it seeing how i'm already here will make the best of it to be honest i'm soo glad
that i stayed to hear his set IMO he OWNED!!! I could care less what other people think
you know whats soo funny is that the tunes that Alex played last nite we heard some of them
at vola last friday and people say that it was the best trance set that they have heard in a long
time

Like for real you all need to make up your minds you like or you dont anyways thats enough
back to Alex set he open with some kind of intro with every other way which was pretty kool

Wow,left at 6;15, found out that there aren´t mcdoubles at that time but only breakfast mcdonalds, and went to sleep at 7:00am.

Got up at 11:00, seen my favourite Spanish soccer team win and uploaded a few videos with great moments of yesterday... I wont forget the Airwave moment... Last friday, yesterday..I love Toronto!!

Rank 1- Expected more. I have heard such great things and although he delivered, not exactly what I wanted to see. To give him credit though he did open and its hard to get crazy when the crowd isnt at its max and you've got 3 + DJ's to follow

Blank and Jones - better last time I saw them. They should have opened and then let Rank 1 do his thing.

Morph- only saw 30 mins of him. Pretty good to follow though.

Orange room was good also - normally not the type to venture to that neck of the woods but it was pretty banging. and i second Polkaudio's request to know who was in there? Event posting has been taken down.

All in all Fab night! great music great people

PS- Chakalaka was played at least twice if not three times. Won't lie though i didn't mind!!

i got there half way through rank1's set, didn't do much for me until airwave.. from there on the night as rather one of the better guv nights.

IN-FUCKING-CREDIBLE!!! The best Contact I've been to so far. I was impressed with all 4 sets, each in a slightly different way. Rank 1 wins I think for best set of the night (even though he was opening!!). Some serious tunage played, especially for a time slot beginning before midnight.
Blank & Jones followed, and they played pretty hard. I was honestly expecting nothing from them after last year's "hi, we don't like to structure our sets properly and suck at set flow" fiasco. But I definitely think they played a far better set than last year. Nightfly will never get old!!!
Next was Menno (who I was obviously looking forward to most) and this is probably one of the best I've seen him. To be honest, I wasn't feeling the start of his set too much (maybe because of Chakalaka, for the love of SWEET god please retire this track for a couple of years) but that very quickly changed. He played absolutely amazingly, and I couldn't even come close to stopping my grinning face during his set. One of the reasons why he's one of my favourites. <3 And I definitely agree with you Petey, Last Light Tonight was probably my fave part of his set. What a tune.
Alex M.O.R.P.H. closed out the night really well, although I could have done with a few less vocals and a more driving sound for that time of the night. But I'm super pleased with his set overall. A good chunk of the non-vocal tracks he played had such an epic feel to them. Serious hands in the air moments. SOOO nice seeing a fresh face in the Guv. He seemed really genuinely happy before, during and after his set to be playing in Toronto. The tune of the night for me was played by him too: Gaia - Tuvan (Original Mix). <3

Ugh I'm just so happy right now, I love 2010. Keep 'em coming Toronto!!!
