Still working on Martin Amis' "Money". I've been reading this book for over a month and I'm only 2/3 done. It has been quite difficult to get through, but it's one of the best books I've ever read.

Next up:

Life of Pi
Book of Negroes

I'm reading this write now. It doesn't really do anything for me, it's simply, a read. It has held my attention enough that I keep reading but it's nothing I would loose sleep over.

Did you get this book for free?

i found the ending to life of pi to be a complete anticlimax and somewhat insulting to the readers. the rest of the book was enjoyable.

yup freebie!
I love it! very well written esp. Rose's parts - for a book of fiction, it gives a very good description of a life of a cojoined twin

Same!! I already have plans on how I'm going to change an extra bedroom into the sickest library in existence!

Right now I'm currently finishing up The Lord of Emperors - Guy Gavriel Kay. I don't think there's much of a point to writing all the books I plan on reading soon, there's just too many.

Awesome idea starting this thread, it'll give me some fresh ideas on what to pick up!

It is very well written, I do agree. That's why I can actually keep reading it. But the plot in general isn't exciting or inspirational or clever... you know?? personally, not a book I would read again, and I would be very selective on who I recommend it to.

Currently I am reading a paperback, The Sari Shop Widow by Shobhan Bantwal

It's a good portrait of a typical Indian American family, of a woman born and raised in the US - torn between being modern and conservative at the same time.
So far it is good...a bit predictable but I'm still enjoying it
