I'm getting old

Kind of older but 2 of my favorite turn-based strategy games on the PC that I would recommend at least taking a look at would be:

1) Heroes of Might and Magic V
2) Disciples II

also, loved diablo, wasn't a fan of torchlight that much. felt too much like disneyland diablo. i dunno. eagerly awaiting d3 though..

dragon age: origins and all those hardcore PC rpg's just never really clicked with me for some reason. couldn't get into KOTOR or any of those other ones either. I am, however, contemplating mass effect 2 because i've read nothing but good things about it.

crysis, or crysis warhead? i was debating on those two.

is the "eh?" because i'm not a supreme commander fan, or because i have nfs: shift and don't like racing games? i got nfs by shifty means, heh.

you're all over the place dude. If you couldn't get into kotor, you're not going to get into the Mass Effect series either. Bioware has a certain style or feel to all their rpg games, just a different place in time. As for which Crysis, go with the 1st.

If you want to try out a different style RPG, check out Borderlands and Fallout 3.

this is probably the only criticism i could ever level at bioware, a little too similar between titles. i really hope their next big thing brings something truly different to the table.

I missed it - thus disproving your hypothesis.

how can you call yourself a "traditional" RPG fan then?

lol, the last rts i got into was either starcraft or the original command and conquer, heh. i suppose i just really get down with the old school jrpg's? console rpg's are usually pretty fun for me, the bioware-style elder scrolls-type ones, not so much.

for example, right now i'm playing namcoXcapcom via ps2 emulation on my pc, and i'm really getting into that.

see above comment- i *DO* have borderlands, and *had* fallout 3 for a time (did you know you can buy the pc version, install it on your computer, and return it? you don't need the cd to play it lol) and while fallout 3 was quality, i just couldn't get into it. i dunno. it's not that i didn't like them, i just felt.. maybe i felt a little bit overwhelmed with everything you could do in the game. couldn't be arsed to sit on my ass and play those games all day long trying to get everything.

i figured maybe i'd like mass effect 2 just judging by the reviews- critics are raving about it. any particular reason why i should go for crysis 1 instead of crysis warhead?

I was playing that until my hd went to a better place and took my save games with them. Its really something to see Felicia,Chun Li and KOS-MOS fighting back to back

With my saves from NxC gone, lately ive been playing OpenTTD and East India Company
