Nothing but "broken record syndrome." I have been hearing the chorus that trance died in Miami since 2003, yet WMC still has trance & I have no concerns about that changing much. Tech-house & minimal/tech are the big sounds currently and have been since 2007 more or less, yet trance still co-exists nicely even if it no longer is the dominate sound

Anyways quit complaining and just enjoy the fact we get these parties. You wanted trance & got it and still are whining. Guess you are the 'glass-half-empty' type???????

haha no im not complaining i love this. As mentioned hard time deciding now cause of them all. Just hoping for the best because it seems its a strong push this year and if they dont do well it might not be a good sign. All they really need to do is break even. So fingers crossed. But yea ill have fun regardless.

I hear ya. I'm surprised no one has done a trance party on Wednesday. I know not everyone gets here that early, but Wed would have no trance competition & little competition in general IMO

i have a bad feeling about trance parties during WMC but never know. I mean when you compare this to wednesday or thursday at nikki beach, those have massive lineups as in many many djs.

for trance to do well they need to promote the shit out of the event itself and not the artists.

It's either I do this and skip Ferry on Saturday to go to PVD again or do Circoloco pool party and do Ferry on Saturday @ Karu, What do you think?

honestly i think circo will do much better. Ill be at this one to give it a shot and help the trance out this year but when other nikki events have like 20+ artists and this has 8 its hard to say how it will do.

better get them planes with the signs ready to fly over wmc non stop to get people to this event.

If I had to pick one time to see Corsten this WMC it would be @ Karu & Y. Somewhat better venue, late-night set, probably longer set, indoors, his own night, & a dark room = optimal conditions for a Corsten mindfuckin

With that said I may do both. Each will be different types of parties with different vibes & sets

This event will do just fine. Nikki beach always brings in the people no matter what the music or time of year. People will go there regardless of what's going on, just because of the venue name and location. Add to that an extra group showing up specifically for the trance, and more specific a name like Ferry. It certainly wont get completely packed, but I expect a fair amount of people to show up sometime throughout the day. I could see a few less showing because it has been announced later than other parties that day, but there's enough of a crowd to go around I think. If you want to be pessimistic about a party, I would do so about the Spin party that evening.

Trance beach/pool parties are usually not the most packed events, no doubt. But I'll take quality of people attending and of DJs over quantity any day. And I wouldn't be surprised if Nikki's ends up with another party going on at the same time or later that day/night ....
