Israel can have Jerusalem as their capital, but, not at the expense of Palestinians. The Palestinians aren't just going to lay down and die, so extremist Jewish settlers can slowly take their land, and build walls to consolidate their land grabs. Nobody wakes up one day and decides, "Oh those damn Jews, I'm going to blow myself up." These illegal settlements only stoke the tension.

A peaceful Palestinian state could become a reality, hopefully within the next couple of years. For that to happen though, I'm guessing Israel will first need to acheive peace with Syria (which will lead to peace with Lebanon). For a real peace, one in which Israel isn't threatened by Hezbollah on its northern borders, I think Israel will hand back the Golan heights.

It is because of these unjustified actions and land take overs that pisses off groups like Hamas. You really think they will sit back and watch Israel take over more land for it's "growing population"?

The only way there can be any peace there is when Israel stops buliding more houses on the Palestinian territories.

Not if they keep building more settlements on Palestinian land. First, it just pisses them off. Second, you can't create a state out of land full of fortified Israeli-only settlements on land taken from Palestinians. Hamas takes it in the ass from Iran's revolutionary guards, and they've been blocking peace deals between Israel and the PLO since the mid 90s. If Hamas wants all of the Gaza strip to turn into rubbles they can keep provoking Israel, and it'll be their people's loss. So long as Hamas continues to deny Israel's right to exist don't expect to see Israel doing the Palestinians any favors.

Lastly, the wall was undoubtebly one of the best ideas Israel put into action this past decade - it significantly reduced the number of suicide bombers who were able to enter Israel.

So you're against Hamas getting support from Iran, but totally fine with United States support for Israel, WMD cluster bombs and phosphorus weapons included. Sounds a bit hypocritical to me.
