I think I'd go for the ecler or maybe try and pick up a xone 32 off ebay .

Personally, I'm finally investing in actual equipment and going awy from laptop use. I've been looking at the DJM400. Its got a lot of the stuff that its big brother, the DJM800, has to offer. Great product with great durability. My friend has it, and its better than a lot of the products that I've been demoing.

Or do you mean it's designed for scratch mixing? If so, this is true... but you've still got everything you need to mix in a basic fashion: gains, EQ, channel faders, crossfader (with adjustable curve, which is rare on smaller mixers), cue mix... and they've even given you a basic filter and an FX send loop.

In fact it's got everything most 2-deck DJs will need, particularly if you strap an FX box onto it, which is normally a better way to go than getting a mixer with built-in FX as you can take them with you to gigs and have the same features when you play outside your bedroom.

i have a nuo 5 now for a few years and i still love it as much as day 1

never had any problems with it and the audio quality is just amazing!

so i would advice to get the nuo 2 and you have a rock solid mixer for the next decades

Seems like my list was pretty good, since I'm not in a hurry to get the mixers I'll just wait for a used one in good condition to shave off a few dollars since I'm on limited budget.

its a scratch mixer, and lemme tell you i still have mine and its waiting to be sold. Its not designed for mixing. You can't hear both channels in cue at fulll volume on the headphones, i explained this before. When you move the headphone mix knob to the middle for both channels the volume decreases. You can't mix 1 channel with the master either, as you can see there is a button for master channel or channel cue, its not both. One or the other.

Well with only 2 channels you don't really need to cue the master at the same time as one of the channels... I know it can be a nice feature to have, but remember loads of mixers (Xone:62 for instance, which was the staple house mixer for years) only let you cue on/off on each channel without any kind of cue mix.

And the volume dipping with the cue knob in the middle - again, it's not ideal but it doesn't take long to get used to pushing the headphone volume up. Loads of mixers cue the master after the master level, so if the master level's down from max you'll find you'll have to crank up the headphone volume in a similar way when you want to cue just the master.

Getting used to working around mixer oddities is actually a REALLY useful skill to have, because then you can deal with anything you might face when you play out.

I already cranked the volume up when the mixing knob in the middle. Mixing while doing this feels unnatural. Try for yourself and you'll see. I already have the xone 32 and mixing with just using the cue like the xone 22 is shit.

Edit: i was in love with this mixer before i bought it, it had everything i wanted until i used it. Its a hiphop mixer

In the end for 100$ more you can get the xone 32 at dj deals

The 22 most certainly is not a scratch mixer, it's an entry level DJ (as in dance music) model. The Xone:02 is their battle model and if you look at the specs, you'll see there are several noticeable differences between the two.

Either way, I'd go with the 32 (I use one and love almost everything about it) as recommended, or the Ecler.
