In the 90s, trance had amazing melodies, and had the ability to be beautiful, entrancing, uplifting, psychedelic all at the same time without being cheesy. Here are two examples of what I'm talking about.
It seems very different now...
Is that kind of trance still made today? I hope the answer is yes, but I'm not very optimistic that it will be.

Yes, it's different now. But lol, that first one has vocals, some people here think real trance never had and shouldn't have vocals... ha ha ha.
Ehmm, serious, used to like that ADSR track also back in the 90's. Got it somewhere, but don't ask me where.
Personally think Reaky's stuff is pretty dark and hard (see recent threads with Reaky).
I like stuff like this which is uplifting too and maybe not what your are looking for. But maybe you do like it, to me this is still real trance:
