Ok Ste, I'm sure it's a decent player, thing is what happens if he wants to hear an audio cd somewhere? Can't do that on an mp3 player...

so freaking thin! i jumped with the player in my knee pocket so that it was hitting my knee like crazy and it didn't skip! easiest navigation ever and the remote is OMFG!

i was gonna get either this or rio250, but the lack of display on rio's remote and amazon.com's $162 price for SlimX convinced me to go with iRiver.

ye and it's worth every cent. I got mine a month ago for $350 CAD + shipping + taxes. It's awesome. Supports 35 langagues, winamp playlists etc etc etc etc etc..I HAVE NOT yet learned about all the features it has. I'd recommend it to anybody more than anything else. It's an amazing piece of equipment. Firmware upgradeble, gapless playback...I can go on n on n on...

Right now I am saving my money for a:

The Creative Nomad Jukebox 3

now that is a nice peice of technology, small..holds 20-40 gigs, nice LCD screen, lots of functions to sort etc. It has both firewire and USB support.

Also I wonder if the iPod will ever make an official windows model?

In the next 10 years it'll be a hundred gegabytes big...but what's the point? Once whatever happens to it you're FUCKED!!! Unless you back up all your mp3's man...that's the shiitiest thing bout mp3 players with memory! And one more thing it's FUKEN pricey! I'd be treating it like a piece of gold keeping in mind that it's worth hald a grand, FUCK THAT!!

I got this along with my SlimX iRiver player:

Wireless music adapter

The iRock! Wireless Music Adapter, wirelessly links your portable music player to your car or home stereo. Simply plug the adapter into your MP3, CD or cassette player, choose one of four FM radio frequencies and tune your radio to that frequency. The adapter wirelessly transmits quality, full stereo sound. Requires two AAA Alkaline Batteries. Super convenient!! Works perfect.

$30 US is cheap enough.

From Amazon.com about iRever SlimX:
Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S.

Is somebody has an idea to get this masterful product in Canada at a price around the same of Amazon ?

word! with mp3-cd players your backups are not only your music cds, but you can also play regular audio cds.
