I like to do things together, if I wash dishes then she dry's them and we get done a lot fast and the company helps make time go by faster. When it comes to laundry if you have to go to a laundry matt then I say go together because you don't want your woman around creeps. But if you laundry installed I say wash your own. When it comes to yard, I'll mow and rake and she can hold the trash bag open for me while I put the grass and leaves in them. If we need to clean house real bad we start in one room each at other corners and meet up in the middle again the company and conversation helps time go by faster IMO than you being in one room while she is in another, but some may like it that way.

I suggest a market system, where each party negotiates compensation for whatever chores he or she agrees to perform. This will prevent deadweight economic loss resulting from the performance of chores which would not have brought more than the value of the requisite labor on the market.

I absolutely loathe not having a dishwasher. Makes my life so much less convenient

No doubt Mrs. Hazard does more around the house then I do; however, I do quite a bit. I'm not sure how we arrived at the division of labour we have, as it was not really planned out... just kind of took shape. Generally, I do dishes, ironing, maintainence, lawn care, snow removal, and assist in other tasks if I'm home when they are being done. Mrs. Hazard does nearly all the cooking, dusting, laundry, gardening, mirrors/windows. The robots do the floors. Baby Hazard generally cleans up after herself.

I have one but really only run it once a week or so; subsequently, I still do dishes every night.

Makes sense anyway, I'm not the one who leaves beard trimmings all over the counter and pisses on the toilet seat.

Call me crazy but men shouldn't use toilets unless their sh*ting.
There is nothing more liberation than a man taking a piss in his own backyard, it almost green man. Good for grass and plants

If I had a dishwasher, that fucking thing would get used practically every 2 days. Not only is it better for energy consumption (running water wastes a whole lot) but it eases my workload significantly. However, I wouldn't put expensive, delicate, or extra large dishes in there, just the everyday shit

Running water? Who the hell washes their dishes in running water?

Thing is you don't want to put anything with teflon in the dishwasher, some plastics, and even good dishwashers don't do a great job on some pots or casserole dishes; subsequently, you're going to need to do some dishes by hand every day or couple of days (depending on how much cookwear you have). We have 16 full place settings of our dishwear, cutlery, and glasses so we just let that build up until there's enough for a full load but the cookwear and Baby Hazard's dishes get done nightly.

I completely agree with Chem. If the wife isn't working then she has to do stuff around the house. Can't seriously expect the man to work all day and bring in the money and still take half of the housework.
