I like that you like it, i have thrown all rules out of the window now, everything goes as long as its dark and melodic. Dark electronic music.

the production is great, you have a grip on your sounds and the bassline is packing punch. i think the speed, the track just sounds too melodic at 100 bpm, but it does grow on you. but i would play this in a set, i would pitch it up to 125-135 and it sounds great at that speed aswell.

ye, other than that, i do like it alot. one final thing, i know this is wrong to rag on but the title is terrible.

edit, you should have a go at making a dubstep version of this. slow the track down to 70 bpm, strip the track a bit and reshape it, beef the drums a bit and boost the bass alot, and you have yourself something interesting. i slowed it down in traktor and mixed it with some other tracks and it sounded nice.
Tried pitching the track at various pitches and at 120-130 it sounds like it could have been a good club track if i where to change all of channels without timestretching. Might try that, a bit loose quality when pitched i think.

If i take it down to 70-80 it gives a whole different feel again, more laidback, it could have sounded really nice there as well if worked a bit more on the drums there.
I wasnt aware that changing the tempo would give such various feels.

The name is one of my inventions, it doesnt mean anything at all, i thought it was pretty cool, might change the last name though.

Thanks for listening, much appreciated.

As always, top notch stuff going on there. I feel that the lead might just be a touch too loud in comparison to the rest of the track i.e. a little bit too overwhelming.

As far as genres go, this would be ambient breakbeat. Already exists I'm afraid.. he he.

Great track, thanks for sharing.

cheers

Yeah i need to do some changes on that lead. What im not entirely sure of at the moment is how much work it really needs.. its clearly not that tight of a production by todays standard, so the question im asking myself is.. does it need to be ?
Because i think a lot of old music still sounds good today, or maybe im just making an excuse for being lazy.
Thanks for listening!

I really liked the lead, myself. On first listen before reading all this it didn't sound abrupt or out of place so that's what I'm going with. Percs sound very crisp and polished too. Enjoyed the dark ambience of this track very much, perfect for a lazy sunday morning - many thanks for sharing

Hey subtle,

nice to see youre still making them kickass tunes

good feel of the beat overall, it feels pretty natural and unprocessed compared to all the breaks and DnB stuff I heard recently. And believe me when I say that is not a bad thing at all.

that low synth might at 1.40 might have a harsh frequency.

the melody is quite repetitive but not a problem for me at all. It has a different groove than the beat which makes things interesting, you can shift your focus from one to the other, gives depth.

good job. peace
