To be honest with you I'm not exactly sure anymore, the G20 protests seem to be the culmination of effort from a variety of groups. One way to figure out why people are gathering is to simply look at who and what the G20 is and what they stand for, you will quickly see that there is more than one reason.

From wiki

"These ranged from disquiet over economic policy, anger at the banking system and bankers' remuneration and bonuses, the continued war on terror and concerns over climate change."

I think there was miss communication.

I am aware and familiar with all the problems people will bring up, but I am not aware of any communal goal amongst the protesters. There is not creed or website to go to that will give you the official stance of the protest.

There are many reasons why this protest is accompanying so many issues and so many people from various organization. Firstly it doesn't seem (see earlier post) that we are able to gather enough power for real influence as of late, so many groups have decided to work together against the G20. It is not hard to see how the G20 quickly becomes the representative to some of these problems (international in nature and influenced by the G20 decisions).

Also (see earlier post) I wanted to go to meet some like minded people, i'm not going to protest anything in particular

Just to add, I think that protests that do not make use of a simple clear message will ultimately fail which is why I said I don't think the protest will be ground breaking

If you want to meet like minded people, why not join forums or group meetings.?
