Man, the situation on the peninsula just took a step closer to a full war. A war which only the North wants. The food aid and free money have been gradually decreasing. So North Korea attacked a ship to retaliate. They are fucking dangerous, by doing that it means they are capable of going to war just if they feel like it.

The sinking of the ship was definitely done by the North, and it was not an accident - it was most likely intentional.

Using these provocations and attacks, North Korea is trying to pressure USA/South Korea for concessions and increased aid, while not giving anything in return.

Dont forget, guys - peace treaty was never signed, so the two sides are still technically at war.

I'd say stop giving free money and food to the brutal regime, and prepare to respond with a massive military operation against the North in case they decide to go to war. A surgical air operation should do it, and ground troops can stop the advance of North Korean tanks. This time there will be no China or Russia helping them out if war breaks out. No more appeasing those morons, this attack happened mostly because North Korea can smell how quickly we will give them money and food if they threaten us.

This Is How You Lift a Sunk War Ship Off the Sea
With huge chains and honking cranes, that's how. Example: This Republic of Korea Navy's corvette—half of it, actually—floating over the sea's surface. And before you cry "PHOTOSHOP!", check out the scene from a distance.

It's the Cheonan, a South Korean Pohang-class corvette that broke in two on March 26. According to an international investigation, the cause was a torpedo fired from a North Korean Yeono class miniature submarine, killing 46 crew members. A few weeks later, on April 15, the South Korean Navy recovered the stern part from the bottom of the sea using a giant floating crane. On April 24, the bow was recovered.

Thats a more accurate assessment of the situation. Because now, country after country (including Canada) are cutting off all aid, political contact, trips, and other fancies to the brutal NK regime. The only way to bring reform now is to convince China to pull the plug on their breast-feeding of Pyongyang and North Korean people will bring the change themselves. As long as China keeps helping Kim out, this shitstorm on the Korean peninsula will continue.

LOL, naaah, this is not Cold War anymore, nobody wants to invade them - there's no economic or political basis to do so. Mobody gives a shit about NKDR, if anything its been solely North Korea who have been causing a shitstorm on the peninsula over the past 50 years. They've been behind so many attacks and provocations over that time, that it only makes logical sense that this is their latest provocation.

There are millions of reasons why it was North Korea, coincidences aside, considering how South Korea dumped NK recently - the whole fuss about significantly reducing aid/food shipments and shutting down of tourism to the North, so South Koreans should've seen it coming. It was a retaliatory move.

I know man, it never happened before, it can't be, it's not possible.

WW2 started with staged attack by Nazi forces posing as Poles on 31 August 1939, against the German radio station. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gleiwitz_incident

2003 Iraq invasion. The reasons for the invasion were "to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction (WMD)".
Of course nothing was found.

But who cares, you saw it on CNN, it must be true.
