You DEF need work on the intro perc. The drumline also needs a lot of work, because when I was listening to the song, I felt like there were two completely different songs playing: the drums and the synths/pads. You need to work on blending those together.
Your EQing could also use some work. When I listened to song on both my monitors, and my headphones, the bass seemed a little dull, as well as the high end. Work on your dynamics too!
For dynamics, I use a program called iZotope Ozone. If you haven't tried it yet then I definitely recommend that you give it a spin!
About the sample packs, Vengeance is the best IMHO. Other good sample pack creators are Wave Alchemy and Sounds-of-Revolution. Find the ones that suit you best |
Yeah, I've used Vengeance only so far. Very good though I
hear those samples in many trance works and it gets a bit familiar, to say the least. I kind of agree with the blending all together. Drums sounded weird to me but thought that they were pretty cool and different. Well thanks, I guess I'll be looking forward to those samples then.
