Mint tracks are MINT!.....good tracks then commercial radio takes over and hammers the 4 min edit of the track and then it becomes cheese.

Then again some tracks are not played very much but still as cheesy as your momma's macoroni and cheese:

Mauro Picotto - Like This Like That
(By far the epitomy of cheese)

I dont believe that a song can BECOME cheese.
If it gets overplayed, then hell, its been overplayed.
That doesnt make it cheese.

Cheese is a sound to me, like:

Ian van Dahl's originals (I like the remixes)
Anything by Lasgo
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun *prepares for flames*

These tracks all possess qualities that annoy me.
IvD has such boring and uninspired sample usage.
Lasgo just totally suck with crappy samples and shyte vocals.
Southern Sun's vocals just make me want to run in front of a bus.

first off... lol that running in front of the bus line is hella funny...
Second, when i think of cheese... the only way i can describe it... is when u hear a song and its just giving it all its got.. then just picture some hero breaking out to save the world and fight all evil... NO, the hero isnt a savage beast like russell crowe, its actually a big, blond haired, blue eyed, smiley ass prince from a god damn disney movie.

He pops out to save the world and ur just like WTF? Where is russell crow!?

Thats exactally how i feel about cheese.... a lot of it starts off alright, but when the song is over its just like.. Come on give me a break, what was all that crap about?!

Good example (just my personal view, not a fact or anything) of cheese/uncheese would be ian van dahl - will i that is so cheesey u could spray it on a cracker. Then listen to the flutlicht mix of that song, i Love the flutlicht mix of it.
Freakin great song.

but just cause something is cheese doesnt make it bad all the time. if you like a song then like the song, just cause its cheese dont mean anything... if u feel its cheese, then give it to the rats.

This reminds me of a party i went to last night where BT spun and some other people like deepsky... PeoPLE were dancing their arses off...the thing i loved the most was watching people who had NO idea how to dance, dance their hearts out... its so natural and just a person exploding... doing what they like.....Same thing with cheese...so what if its cheese? if u like it, go eat it up.

I hate it when people diss Southern Sun!!!

Some people actually don't like it, but the vast majority are just part of the 'cool' anti-hype group surrounding the track. If Oakie hadn't killed the thing by pumping up its release for months, we would be hailing it as the incredible tune it is.

Exactly !! My thoughts!!
