Sure.
Drake is nice but overrated imo, we had dinner there for a friend's bday, spent a shitload of $ then waited (yes waited after spending money in the restaurant part) an hour before going up.
I'd say anything more casual and less dressy is ideal for a patio setting. I mean what's the point of sitting in dress shoes and a collared shirt in the blaring sun having a beer? I mean I don't mind being dressy but I just didn't find the Drake that amazing. (It's just my bias of having a bad experience the first time I went...meh).

Oasis is full of tourists and 905ers. The service is really awful too.
Toronto has a serious lack of rooftop patios. I have researched this extensively.
Ultra and the drake skyyard are both good picks.
Urban, the restaurant on King, has a really romantic rooftop patio for a nice dinner date.
Hemingways and the Pilot are good for a casual pint and have both covered and uncovered areas.
The Thompson hotel, whenever it opens, is gonna be amaaazing. The park Hyatt in Yorkville is also cozy and has a great view of downtown but the patio is small.

Bingo.
I'm at Remy's 4-5 times a week lately.
The Pilot in Cumberland is great as well!

Then, I blew out the candle.

Remy's is so so! I'd say Hemmingway's > The Pilot, but both are nice
Queen Mother on Queen West has a sweet hidden patio with lots of greenery
a few nice places along Yonge between Wellesley and Bloor as well
and I disagree about lack of patio's - we have tons and tons of them downtown, the problem is that once the weather is nice enough, they're all rammed

hmmmm I've only ever gone when it was really quiet and had pretty decent service. Must be a whole different place during peak hours

I didn't mean to knock your experience there, I'm sure sometimes it can be okay. I just live close by so have gone there as a default on occasion and am always disappointed that such a prime rooftop space has such a bad crowd with service that leaves a lot to be desired. But it will always attract visitors to Toronto which pays the bills I guess!

Someone else told me this but when I bike by, I can't figure it out. To me it looks like an empty lot with a sales centre. Am I missing something??
