I do not make epic trance because I cannot find a way as yet to be original, and cannot match the tracks by cold blue so I wont bother until I think I might have solved both of these!

I find it easier to get creative and original on the more techy and 'darker' side of things.

I would like to do some pop, Lady Gaga style - the beats are much more involved and unique than I first realised - even the kick in a lot of her tracks is pretty unique. AWAITS A WHUPPING FOR THIS

Well you're sort of asking for it when you mention lady gaga in every one of your posts on a trance forum.

Do you have a thing for chicks with dicks? There's nothing wrong with it of course... just saying...

I stopped trying to categorize my tracks a long time ago because I don't pay enough attention to genres to even know the differences anymore. So, I guess I would say that about a third of what I produce could loosely be called trance (or maybe upbeat house-ish tracks with trance elements), but many of those tracks are collaborative projects with tranceheads.

The rest of my tracks range from downtempo and chillout to triphop to electronica-influenced pop/rock. The singers that I work with tend to write more folksy pop-oriented stuff, so when I work on their original tracks, they tend to end up as electronica-influenced indie pop/rock.

Agree Dave - I produce whatever is on my mind or in my heart.

Trance - genre:

Frozen Aura

Unite Us

Progressive - genre:

Imagine

Dance/Progressive - genre:

Just The Way It Is

Psy-Drums Trance - genre:

I Love That Day

Cheers

Same here, I'm attempting produce some pop dance tracks. I'm somewhat Gaga inspired, but I don't want to rip her off of course. Not that that would be an easy thing to do. Her tracks are slick, involved productions. I noticed she borrows from Trance a bit, as well as a few other genres. My lyrics are very Gaga, because I just can't bring myself to write lovey dovey girly lyrics.

At this point, some of my pop dance is sounding very Trance-ish. Even though I don't listen to Trance anymore, I can't seem to escape the influences of it on my productions. That could be bad thing, because I don't want to end up with the Trance genre label.

I play guitar and bass, so I can produce anything from pop/rock to death metal. I've decided to stick with electronic music though, with maybe some guitar and bass in the mix. It's easier to find vocalists willing to collab on EDM tracks. I was working with a promising alternative rock vocalist/song writer, he had his own recording equipment but had a hard time with the technical side of it. He kind of gave up.

I wonder what a mix between a metal guitar lead and a ripping power hoover would sound like.

Dance music is moving so fast, i don't know what's what anymore.

I do produce trance, techno, and all types of house, but i tend to lean to synthy stuff.

I do breakbeat - always breakbeat. But it can adopt so many different elemental styles that I hardly feel constrained.

Started off producing mostly prog trance and IDM, now leaning towards deep house, techno and dubstep.

Nice tunes mate, but these all sound fairly trancey to me. Okay, two of them are more progressive trance and one has psy elements to it but I'd say they still fall under the trance umbrella. Nothing wrong with that but for the purpose of this thread, its important that we don't all claim to produce a wide variety of genres, if in fact we mainly stick to one.

Some nice melodies in there either way
