I think a lot of it has to do with crowd management as well , many people including myself talk about of what a showman Marylin manson is... which I do agree , sadly I dont think his music is that great .

You hear stories , anecdotes , read or watch live concerts , since chlola said of all time I included what I know of the artists I consider as masters in live performance matters , Roughly i dont think i could have attended to a Sergei Rachamaninov concert

Yeah, I almost mentioned Manson, too. Whether you like his music or not, it's hard to disagree he is an excellent performer. Uh, when he's not completely trashed or taking 20 minute poop breaks in the middle of shows. He can definitely work a crowd.

Carl Cox (I had to list a DJ and no one has more DJ performance that him).

Freddy was a fucking good one. That man just loved to sing and be out there. I guess being so open was sort of his undoing, too.
