Believe me, it's not a case of GAS (this time!). I made a decision months ago to not make any more major purchases this year and beyond until/unless a real "need" arises. But, in this case, I'm finding that I want something more flexible than I've already got because of the many vocalists and instruments that I use and I've only got 2 rack spaces available (i.e., currently occupied by my OneQ), so more units would mean more space requirements, which costs more money. So, while I appreciate all the suggestions to look at multiple units, etc., believe me, I've given aspect of it a LOT of consideration and I want to stick with a 2U channel strip. And, I also understand that some people like to do the majority of their processing ITB, but that's not necessarily the "right" way to do it. I've done it both ways for many years and I simply prefer spending the time to get the best signal I can up front and minimizing the amount of time I spend staring at my f***ing computer screen and clicking that goddamn mouse.

I've used the original ISA110(Pre/EQ) which didn't have so much boomy end as the new stuff, just creamy body. I've also used the ISA 220. Neither really did much for me though, in comparison to a Manley Vari-Mu, API 550 and Great River Pre combo. BUT, the focusrite's do sound great, no matter how gearslutty snobby people want to be. In the end, great vocals run through FMR, will still make a HIT!!

Now, if I were to drop coin. I wouldn't be thinking of having gate's on my strip. Big deal, do it ITB. I would think of versatile a pre, easy smooth eq and a nice drastic compressor.

I'd look into an API 7600 or start having fun mixing and matching 500 series modules for an API lunchbox, these modules come up for sale used all the time and you can really home in on your flavor.
