They've been doing this forever. I used to go to mall arcades in the mid 90's. In the mornings the place was always swarming with old folks walking back and forth in front of the caged shops. I thought it was kinda weird, but I'll probably be doing the same thing eventually.

who's down to show up at a mall early and pretend the oldies are zombies and the mall is our last holdout?

This is true, we have a mall that is held up by a few major stores but the weak are always loosing their businesses and that mall is full of old people walking with hand weights that strap on with Velcro around the wrist and ankles. It even has plaques around the mall to show how far of a distance you have walked.

it grosses me out when I see a really old person eating... especially when it's something like pudding or custard. Ugh! Makes me feel nauseous.
