A guy I used to milsim with (who is now in the Army for real) grew up for part of his youth in Bishkek. He said it was a beautiful place... Except he was there for the start of the civil war in the early 90's when shit just got all fucked up. His dad was a US diplomat and they had to be sneaked out of the country in the middle of the night on a cargo plane or some shit like that...
