Vinyl is very impractical and everybody knows it. The vast majority of clubs are CDJ-based. Plus, we live in the MP3 age: many (most?) releases are never pressed to vinyl. I said what I said above because using CDJs requires real mixing, unlike many computer 'DJing' programs

in the last two years vinyl sales have been on the rise and CD sales have been on the decline.

It's true. The decline in CD sales accounts for CDs that you would buy at stores, not the ones that you would burn yourself. Most djs would burn their own CDs.

Not true. IMO the vast majority of good (worthy) releases are pressed to vinyl. There are plenty of originals and remixes that you would only find on vinyl. I recently started spinning vinyl and know how tough it can be, which is why I have the most respect for djs that spin vinyl. In terms of practicality, cds are the way to go.

That looks pretty cool, especially if you like watching what the dj is doing. It's not really changing any concepts of djing and is essentially the same process as CDJs. I don't think i'd use it though cause I prefer touching knobs (har-har).

You have to "mix" with all computer djing tools. CDJ's you have to "beatmatch" and "mix"
