Lexicon PCM bundle. If you have the cash its definately the best.

Otherwise I've heard good things about the redline verb, which is derived from the algorithms in a reaktor verb and sounds pretty similar to the lexicon...

Arts Acoustic (love it), 112db redline reverb (had the demo and was mightly impressed - need to save some cash for it) and Logic's Space Designer.

For strings, logic space designer with the Bricasti IR's.

No comparison to anything, including the lexicons which I have.

Seriously, the Bricasti hardware reverbs are simply the greatest reverbs I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

Honestly, the day the Bricasti's arrived, the lexicon 960's (all 4 of them) only got used when someone else had pinched the Bricasti's.

Undoubtedly. Lucky for you you're probably the only person on this forum who can afford them!

Ah - nice! All play, no pay!

[edit: I was referring to not having to pay for the hardware, not the amount of money that you get paid btw! ]

Nice, but I don't really get it. I've got the lexicon bundle and the 480 sounds incredibly like the real thing at the studio. I can't really see the benefit of the Redlabs new version apart from they have modelled other stuff such as some of the hardware's quirks, which frankly I can live without. Maybe I'm missing something?

Actually, can someone post info about their waves reverbs opinions - I have mine, but I would like to hear other people's thoughts on them and which ones they use for what purpose etc.

I've always liked RenVerb - it's a good all-purpose reverb that's easy to use and has a nice warmth to it - I really like it for darker reverbs, particularly on drums. However, TrueVerb just doesn't do it for me - not sure why, though. I just can't ever seem to coax the sound I want out of it, so I give up right away and turn to Aether or RenVerb.

Nice. I'm afraid to even try it because I'm sure verb-lust would get the best of me.

The lexicon pcm software doesn't have the algos from the old lex like the 480. It has only the different sounding current algos from the pcm 96 and some improvements. Relab modelled the 480. They didn't do the lexicon pcm plugins and don't have access to the real algos. But it sounds as good as the pcm plugins just way more affordable.
