You know they are massive labels. Surely you must realise the amount of demos they get. Someone's track on Speedyshare won't be very high on their list.

It's just common sense.

Use a soundcloud link. Most labels ignore the 1click hosters like speedyshare, sendspace, and so on...

Why would that be a common sense?
Sure, they do get alot of tracks, but if they dont specify where to be uploaded (bonzai for example), ppl should be free to upload wherever they want.
Two months ago when i send my demo to flashover, a guy msged me like 3min after, asking for another link cuz he couldnt dl from rapidshare at that moment. So if big label like flashover can do that, everyone can, especially if we consider that if it gets signed they`re going to exploit your work anyhow, so its in their best interest.

I don't think someone who sends Anjuna a link to Speedyshare when they have a very simple direct upload process should be calling me an idiot.

I wanted to vent and see if people had similar experiences. obviously you don't so politely F*** off.

What, you think I'm signed to Anjuna? I've sent my stuff to labels and I've been ignored. Where our experiences differ is I didn't come here a month after to bitch about it.

I'm really not sure why you're calling me an idiot or telling me to fuck off, either. I didn't sugar-coat my post but I was being civil, there's no reason for you to attack me like that. If you're just going to attack anyone who disagrees with you or what you're doing with your music then you really have no business posting in a forum.

Some A&Rs are not able to do the A&Rs, it means that the thing going shit

and they always asking for not send demo to 10 label at the same time...
i have to waste one year of my time to send a demo lol ?? they are busy ??? what they take for an simple auto replay ?? 5 seconds ??

''wow maa friendzz Steve Agnello !!!111oneone send me a new cheesyzzzz suppa Chunezzzz i'll sign it fashooo''

''Who the fuck is this DJ Johncann ?!?!?11 fo sure another crap tune from that ffuuuuu noobish producers, i don't listen it... ''

the most dramatic thing is that they put an info e-mail that thay never open, that is simply ridiculus i send about tons and tons of e-mail NOT DEMO only for asking something (general info) and no one replay me LOL; so: what da fuck they have it ???!!!??!111??

I don't trust labels anymore, they just steal your riffs and progressions.
A&B really don't listen, have sent 14 tracks now, never an answer, not even a decline, nothing. That's just plain rude.
So since TuneCore everybody can be a label so uck em!

BTW which agregator dumps on beatport? I went to TuneCore for my album, but still looking for an aggregator to drop some singles on Beatport.

I agree with the OP. It's not a case of whining that the labels aren't listening to his submission, it's the fact that they claim that they do when they obviously don't and it IS annoying to wait for something that likely is never going to happen. I rarely submit songs to labels, but on the few occasions that I've sent them to some of the bigger labels, I've also noticed that my tracks were never downloaded/heard by them. So, what's the point? I don't even bother with them anymore (not that my odds of getting signed by the bigger labels are that great anyway).

I guess my advice would be to go ahead and shop your tracks around to the bigger labels, but don't wait more than a few days for a response before sending it off to a bunch of other labels. In the event that one of the bigger labels decide they're interested after another label signs it, you have at least gotten their attention and possibly a direct line of communication for your next track submission.

Why sign your soul over to these big labels?

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that in many cases Armada artists sign over the right to their alias as well.

You always have the option to apply for www.solarswarm.com, which you could say is part of a big-ish label

Armada must have a death clause in their contracts. I'm lucky to get a reply from their artists.
