Personally, I think Ontario is better off having a casino destination area. Even if you don't go as big and gaudy as Las Vegas....maybe more like Atlantic City.

Ontario government wants an online casino? Arent there many online casinos as it is out there? How is this one supposed to compete with all those ones? By banning and/or limiting the operations of the current competitor ones on Ontario soil, as the next step?

This announcement is more balsy than anything, I see they are doing those things on almost a weekly basis, looking for more sources of cash flow. Lets see them turn it into reality, without burning too many of taxpayer dollars in the process.

And how is all that gonna deal with the gambling addiction problem of many people? Its very interesting how the government wants to run massive casinos and then also uses mad taxpayer money to advertise treatment places for anyone you may suspect of being a chronic gambler.

The whole gambling / OLG Slots / whatever thing is designed to suck people of their money, and potentially ruin their behaviour and lives in the process.

Gambling is a problem for society, and can negatively affect people and their lives, and their families, and is a pretty pathetic way of raising more money. There have been many victims. As much as the gambling system says its not pursuing to make chronic gamblers in our society for the sakes of more profits, in the end, it needs more gamblers to earn more money. A contradiction of sorts.

The table rules in Canadian casinos are like charity casinos... super low maximum limits on the BJ tables are rediculous.

Seneca is the only place I go to truly test my poker and BJ game. Plus I can smoke, and all the drinks I want for a $1 tip.

A government online casino would be just as boring and a ripoff as the Canadian casios.
