I think it is a bit to much, and also $1000
This is for people like maybe dubfire, liebing, and people like hawtin.
I dont think many people would like to trade a mixer for for that.
I like and was excited about the X1, not so excited about this one.

When I saw the features and the flight box I said WOW. Everything for $1000 but suddenly I read flight case costs extra by $185.
Honestly its a great piece of hardware and I would go for it when I save some more money and by the time I actually will get enough money for this kit, the price will drop somewhat.
Pre-ordered one of these from PSSL.com which is a pretty reputable online DJ store. Let's just say that their website now says on backorder until Nov. 15. I also called guitar center here in NYC and the were also sold out. Looks like the Traktor geeks out there got their hands on it first!

Well, to me it looks like shit with loads of LEDs thrown in there. Everything integrated to a small package. How good are NI at making mixers? Have they made mixers before? Even though Traktor is nice and the Audio 8 DJ ain't too bad either, I wouldn't trust NI to make a good mixer.
And it has integrated the controllers on the side. For me that doesn't really make sense, unless you want to have some cheap "DJ in a box" bullshit like the Hercules console. I really see no need for this product. Some might, but I certainly don't. Some people see the need for the Hercules DJ console too.
If this would be more like the Xone:4D but made to work more fluently with Traktor I might be more impressed, but now I really am not.
I see this as "cheap" solution for people who cannot afford a proper mixer and TTs/CDJs/controllers. If you think otherwise or don't have enough money to buy proper gear instead of some "DJ in a box" set, you're free to disagree. But I see no reason to get so worked up over my views/comments.

This might answer your question as to weather or not the soundcard is worthy.....the people at Space didn't seem to notice a difference....

Not really valid - I was quite unimpressed by the sound system at space. The back (main room) is actually quite terrible. Whcih is really weird to me as I absolutely love funktion 1 systems. The terrace is OK, but I've heard at least half a dozen major club systems that I would rate higher.
