Here's my review. As for Liv, anyone whose been there before knows the club is a VIP-bottle type club. IMO not the ideal place for a DJ-driven show. However the sound is setup right & the lights on the roof are just crazy. Unfortunately they did not have video screens set up for the Once Upon a Night 2 show, unlike how Karu did in WMC. The dancefloor and surrounding VIP was full most of the night, but the club was not overpacked. It started to thin out noticeably around 3:30 or so. We missed the beginning of the set, getting there @ 1:20, but I think Corsten had just started. He played until around 4:10/4:15. It seems the crowd was mixed, with some of the LIV VIP-wannabee-regulars & a good amount of trance lovers as well. The crowd had a good energy & seemed into it. But I did not feel the type of energy you get at a trance show in the Space mainroom for example.
On to Corsten, I am a huge fan & overall thought he played a pretty good set. If you like Corsten and his Once Upon a Night compilations then you would have been pleased. He started a bit more downtempo playing more progressive trance and even some housy tracks, which is why I rate the show as good not great. Thankfully by 2 a.m. he put it into second gear, caught a good flow & started dropping more upbeat trance tracks that had everyone dancing. The last hour he banged it out a bit & dropped alot of his tracks as well. Did not see any TAS out, but did see alot of people I had not seen in ages, all of which loved his set (even more so than I did).
