Knowing Israel, I can assure you that if this was the other way around, Israel would have been in war right now destroying the Palestinian territories over and over again.

Its negative in a sense that these are very inappropriate pictures to post on your Facebook account. Disrespectful, I think. Hell no I wouldnt be shocked! I am not naive to how war works! No one likes war and the images of war (at least I hope they wouldnt!).....but I understand that war is a terrible thing and has been happening since the beginning of time. Having a picture with your enemy is far less brutal than some of the other ways past soldiers have celebrated or bragged about their victory. I dont agree with her taking the pic, but its certainly not a shocker!

Islamists have filmed plenty of scenes with captured Americans, including their executions, complete with blindfolding, bending on the knees, etc. etc. etc. = i.e. much worse scenes and gruesome than those by that girl. I dont see the same in these photos, I think that Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails get better treatment than what one would call living in a really run-down bombed-out Palestinian refugee camp outside of Gaza, or on outskirts of Beirut. They actually get fed there properly.

But then again - did Israel create or allow those conditions for neglected Palestinians? I suppose. The photos are more about respecting the dignity of those people, people need to realize that they are treading closely on the sensitivity of the Israeli-Palestinian issue when posting them.

I was going to say the same, but thought I would enter a flame war. Its true and cant believe people are still *shocked* at what goes on in war. Just because you dont *like* it, doesnt mean it doesnt happen. War sucks, dude.

Moral of this story: she will be living the rest of her life in fear thanks to her stupidity.

Too bad our media doesnt really show these pictures on TV. I dont think too many people know the true defination of war around here. If they did they wouldnt have those "we support the troops" stickers on their cars.
