Yeah I was kind of stuck in Berlin I went to the British Embassy near the Brandenburg Gate to ask for help and they were closed! It was only 4:30! Apparently they are only open 9-12 and 2-4. How crap is that?

The last week has been a hell of a calamity for me. I had to scrounge food from this Taiwanese girl at the hostel I was at and I had fuck all money and I had hundreds of euros sitting in the bank I couldn't access. When my coach was finally booked for 8pm on Thursday I made my way on the S Bahn from Ostkreuz to Zoologischer Garten without a ticket. Just my luck; the inspector is on. I explain that I am leaving the country in a couple of hours and my bankcard doesn't work and manage to shake him off. After that I find myself in Brussels wondering when the hell my next coach is going to come, if at all.

I arrived back at midnight last night, badly sunburnt and totally fucked from about 25 hours on a coach.

But apart from that I'm back and I'm OK

Dawn, sorry to put you through the worry mate. My parents didn't know where the hell I was either. My phone wasn't charged, and British plugs don't fit into German sockets (ours have 3 prongs) so I couldn't ring anyone. Argh.

yeah, glad to hear you made it back. But I feel sorry for all the trouble you had. It must suck being stuck in a foreign country not knowing the language and not having any money

I think it's really cool that you still say you enjoyed your trip and the Loveparade.

Fucking hell! And I thought u came back like on Monday or something! So why couldn't u cash in your Travellers cheques then??

It sounds like being on your own wasn't too fun! Sorry i had to leave ya mate, but Tesco's are bastards for holiday!

Next Love Parade, will need more organisation on an accomodation and money level me thinks!

Anyone up for booking the presidential Suite that JP does every year, before him?

Heh, I cashed all my travellers cheques in the first week, about £300 worth. Got royally hammered at the hostel most nights and found that all went pretty quickly!

The hostel worked out the same price as the campsite as well, and was 2 minutes walk from an S-bahn station.
