i really enjoyed the sounds in second sun- empire. i dunno if second sun consistently uses those sounds, but empire...i wanna hear that live but i havta say that i enjoy dumonde and 4strings

I like all the ones mentioned before, but for some reason, I really like the effects used in 'Public Domain - Rock Da Funky Beats', speshully the bass stabs

Really loving Timo Maas' squelching bass sounds, and crazy percussion patterns. They just make you want to move!

For some of the best sounds listen to Brian Transeau's (BT) last two cd's, some of the sounds me makes are absolutley AMAZING. It feels like they're an effects box in your head and a monkey's banging on it.

Also not always trancey but Hybrid pull off some AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME sounds, in most songs there's a breakdown/buildup thing in the 2nd half which always Rocks.

If you want a great example get "War Of The Worlds - Eve of The War (Hybrid remix)"

Some parts are insane! Couldn't really play it in a prog trance set which is my area, but damn you have to appreciate the production.

Also infected mushroom do some great stuff....get Infected Mushroom - Devil ...oh my god I think my head will explode, reeeeallly energetic

Chicane & Salt Tank did a great job on 'Leaving Town' the Mea Culpa Remix...

There's a sound in there that just drives the entire track.

Nu-Nrg also have a pretty cool sound.

I would have to say cosmic gate & shokk have the best lead sounds...I've always wondered what synths they use...I don't feel AVB is doing anything special in the sound department, but on communication II the reverb on the lead sound is the best I've heard so far....

TIESTO!!!! the sounds in Urban Train and Flesh *muah*
Sasha - Xpander, Belfunk, most everything in Airdrawndagger, he mixes very atmospheric effects with funky basslines
Push - love his synths
im also a fan of the Gouryella sound
