I'm not from germany, but live 10 kilometers near Germany and buy all my trance in Germany... For the guys who though Holland is the nr.1 trance country: WRONG! Germany is!... Just look at the German SALES chart: the only chart in the world were TRANCE is in the top 10..

Germany is better than Holland for trance.

I can't really agree - For a certain time you mainly hear unbearable cover versions & remakes in our German clubs - No innovations, no spirit, no new ideas.

I love driving to Holland several times a year to hear Armin/Tiesto etc. spinning real music that fits my taste.

Surely, there are a few good trance producers like Dumonde / Pvd / CJ Stone / Green Court, but normally you have no choice: Either Techno in its hardest forms (so-called Schranz) or commercial clubs that want to please everybody's taste!

In my opinion, Germany is a land of technoaddicts rather than a land of tranceaddicts (Example? - Listen to Love Parade / Mayday ... sets).

Blank And Jones did a track called watching the waves, thats pretty Epic Tranceyish, but you will always hear Dumonde or Cosmic Gate and CJ stone releasing Progressive and Hard Trance. Some of these stuff dont make sense to me. Trance suppost to have a feeling to it. What you hear in Dumonde or Cosmic Gate are like "in your face" or "what the fuck are you looking" at kind of music. Thats why I dig Holands Trance. Its more mellow and smoothing sythnizer that takes you higher. UK's trance ain't bad either, Above and Beyond and Lange got some really nice tracks and remixes as well. But German Trance is like ugh. I know people will hate me, but I think Hard Trance/Progressive Trance doesn't make sense. I think Epic/Mellow Trance are the real deal.
