I think it should be raised higher then 1 Gig, preferably to 3-5 Gigs minimum at best.
I share 100 Gigs, and with 3 slots open (even though I don't have a great upload).
Everyone who has under a gig is just setting up a small folder with bullshit in it to share so they don't have to upload anything ever.
I know it's tough for 56Kers to get lots of stuff, but if you just used something as simple as Kazaa for a week, you could easily get a couple of gigs of something worth sharing. People who share less then a Gig are just total leeches, because you can tell that their downloads aren't going into their share folder. They always stay at the same share. In theoretics, it should go up. WAYYYY up.
Just my 2 cents.

How are my 2 cents selfish?
My goal is to ultimately encourage sharing and cut off the leeches. The whole point of the hub is for TA's (veterans, not noobs) to share their stuff. Unless your a total noob to TA, your bound to have a good amount of media. At the very least a gig. I don't think many people still have 4 Gig hard drives either.
I don't feel that 1 gig, or 3 for that matter is very much. What's 1 gig of space? 2 Livesets and a Divx movie. And your saying that people who can't build up a small collection of stuff using Kazaa or some other sharing program before joining the DC Hub are being discriminated against?
My point is that a lot of people have 200 MB's of junk shared with 1 slot open. And they don't have the new stuff they download go into their share folders. Basically they are just leeches, and need to be cut off.
3 Gigs might be a little excessive, especially for 56Kers, but if you can't put up 1 Gig of stuff, then your just leeching.

*senses dj_lord hasnt bothered to read any posts before posting*
if a vetern ta with a small hd, like me for example, my pc is i think <1998, 6 gig harddrive, shared between 4 people + windows + appz, i have around 20 gig of stuff, but all on cd-r's, i have to burn a new cd-r every 650 megs and delete then from the harddrive, and why should vetern ta's be forced off the trading hub which they have helped build up by being a regular member for so long, just because they have a small harddrive?
i agree 200 megs, the current limit is f**k all, but if someone can only share 200 megs, for whatever reason, and they are willing to share that 200 megs, then they are as devoted to sharing and trading music as someone with 20000 megs and sharing all 20000 megs.
Anywayz im off to bedz, reply tomoz

That is true, a member who can only share 200 megs is just as dedicated as someone who shares 20000 megs. The difference isn't in the dedication, it's in the size of the contribution.
Very few people who use the hub can't afford to give up a gig of space. They have very small hard drives. I respect that.
However, for every person who can only share 200 MB, there are 5 Leechers who can afford to share 20 Gigs, yet they share 200 MB and only leave one upload open.
So you see, for the convenience of a few, like yourself, we're allowing a lot of people to leech the shit out of everyone else.
I share almost 100 Gigs with 3 open spots (my upload isn't that great). Would it be fair if I shared 200 MB, and just pulled shit off everyone else all day?
I think it's important to have veteran TA's part of the hub, so it's tough to have a solution for this.
