The biggest problem in the term being diluted is in the fact that to 'troll' used to mean you were just browsing around or making brief comments without the wherewithal to stick around and defend them. System-J and I, when we argue, neither of us will admit that the other person "won" or "lost" the argument. I can say he failed, and he can say I'm an idiot, but in the end it doesn't prove anything.

It's a neverending cycle of banter back and forth with no endpoint.

BTW I'm going to try to post here as little as possible in the next week...and see what happens.

It's not ever openly stated I guess, but it's pretty obvious to everyone who "lost".
