He's just basing his opinion on what SOMEONE ELSE has said. Isn't that the same as actually trying the synth? lol

Yeah, a Stage II for that price would be a steal, provided it's not one of GC's infamous open-box/returned items. Seriously, watch out for that - there's a reason they have a very generous return policy and it's because they often just tape the box up and stick it back in the warehouse, even after the customer used it for the full 30 days and returned it. I've had numerous occasions in which the sales guy had returned from the warehouse with a busted up box that was obviously re-taped, the power, USB, etc. cables inside the box were rewound in a disheveled manner, the unit had scratches/rack rash on it, etc. So, just pay attention.

That said, personally, I'd take a DSI Tetra or Mopho Keys, or some of kit's recommendations over a LP any day. But, if you really like the Moog sound/vibe/interface/etc, that's a good deal.

Had one in my home for three months. Borrowed from my neighbour who was rebuilding his studio from the ground up adding insulation and airconditioning and stuff.

I didn't touch it more than 3 times even though I have to admit it's a very likable synth. I guess that's my problem. As soon as I have hardware I don't touch it anymore heh. I only rarely use my virus/nord/liquid mix. Maybe I should just sell again and settle with a simple midi-controller.

Maybe I should just go for some interesting well known processing units or a nice new mobile phone.

So you only ever form opinions based on things you've heard with your own ears

Also, I don't have to try it to know that when i buy a hardware synth I want one knob per function. I don't care how good it sounds, the interface looks like a bitch. I'll stick with my Arturia thanks, and if I want a hardware synth I'll get one with a decent interface and some actual features.
