I stopped using RE for the stability issues it has. I had info for over 2000 tracks stored into it and lost all of it after it crashed one day. Probably should have also stored them on the mixshare server but I didn't and haven't bothered with it since. I'd never pay for this kind of software though, it's just as easy and quick for me to do it myself.

I scan them using RE and then use the built in piano to check if its result is ok.
Btw, are there people here using the RE3 beta? Any idea if the recommended songs/artists/etc function is already inserted into the program? Doesn't seem to do anything here.

MIK is a pretty useful tool to be fair though it does get a bit tedious reading forum posts asking if you can only go 1 step clockwise round the wheel

If your new to DJing, learn with your ears what goes and what doesn't. You'll find yourself making far better mixes.

I have mixed in key and used to use it but it gets too tedious. Scan em with M.i.k and then scan it with traktor...too much scannin. I wish it could analyze new tracks that are added to your collection automatically...or if Traktor had its own mixed in key built in.

Sure they will at some point - pretty soon, you won't have to think at all when you play!

i wish djing was a bit harder like used to be, now everybody can be a dj. Better or worst and clubs only want someone who plays commercial music decently beatmatched,if they have to buy good records and play with them they'll surely quit.

It's completely useless imo. Plus you run the risk of always mixing songs that are in key rather than songs that actually go well together.
