This song is really good. Don't let someone else's rules define your sound. It's not really up for debate unless you decide it is but I think you're doing yourself a disservice to entertain notions which attack the beliefs fundamental to creating the music you want to make.
As good as this forum is, people still project their own perceived failings into the critiques of others. Critique is only relevant when you can objectively identify with what the critic's intent is, particularly playing at the level you're playing at.
Without including myself, almost everyone who's posted, so far, in this thread is producing at a level where criticism of their work is difficult to do without being subjectively biased. I could come up with a laundry list for each of their songs about what should be changed, but then I would only be making recommendations to suit what I'd like to hear from my own music in conjunction with the general ideas of their songs.
