You could try running into the water if your close enough... I doubt theres water near lava though.

Yea I was at least a couple of minutes away from water

I just built an awesome hover house waaay up in the sky... with a nice wood roof, stone walls... and a big path leading up the mountain to a bridge out to it... all nicely lit.

I am planting trees on the hillside, its pretty barren. I also need to work my way down to one of the beaches and see if there is any sand so I can make some glass for the windows. Its fucking non-stop snowing!

Every time I build a nice home I wind up dying and never finding it again ...

Leaving work in a few minutes, gonna go home and play. Been watching videos all day at work so I should be ready.

No point in going online since its still not even fully functional yet.

haven't tried it myself yet, but looks like the kind of game i'd spend hours on as a kid.

while on the topic of newer games with shitty graphics that have more complex gameplay (a trend i support), anyone tried dwarf fortress? i dumped a few hours into it but couldn't catch on to it, as soon as i learned 1 thing something would come in i didn't know how to react to and kill all my dwarves. will have to try again some time and actually follow a tutorial
