I was under the impression Children was considered the worst sin against trance music (I still like it). And more on topic, I would take more offense with this if Children was the focus of the song, but as it is, it's more in the background, with all the attention on the vocals. So, not a big deal to me.

oh for fucks sake. everyone uses their influences in one way or another when they're artists. every damn artist from the past to today works off influences, some incorporate it into their music in a very obvious way

we can't all reinvent the fucking wheel of music and be prodigies that are just at the pinnacle of originality. everyone works off of others ideas

also go to your record store, listen to some records, i'm pretty sure you'll hear hip hop sampled 90% of the music you've heard in your life. but just because its robert miles a thread pops up.

i'll make a version of this thread:

omfg i can't believe these ******s would use something as awesome as ramsey lewis 'if loving you is wrong, i don't want to be right'. how fucking dare them! how dare hip hop artists sample music! OMGGGG. i'm a huge fan of ramsey lewis so now i'll be angry!!!!

ARGH!

god this forum has fallen off the map of even a decent amount of respect for music. MUSIC. now it's just people bitching and bitching. i have a hard time believing many here actually understands the definition of music. i like you zip, i apologizing for coming off heated but, it just angers me. love you :* x0x0

Woah, bro. Easy there, tiger. Read what I wrote in response to Jack's post, I retract my statement about "ripping Robert Miles off". It was obviously a harmless sampling of his track, not stealing. I'm well aware that people reuse and sample other artists work, but I mistook the track in the OP as a shameless copy of Children's melody.

"Good artists borrow, great artists steal", right?

As it's just off a mixtape I really have no problem with it. Not the best in the world, but it makes me laugh since it's fucking Children lol.

lol kid cudi was one of two headliners (the other was some emo band) at my uni's annual fall semester kickoff festival.

And to be fair, Robert Miles being "great" is debatable.
