the trial is for a drug that stops your body from rejecting organ transplants.

seems kinda fucked but for UP TO 3k and I'm doing really nothing as it is now.

Perhaps you should check to see your organs are there befor and after just to be safe.

From what I know, the only bad part of the trials are the blood tests. That is IV or needles for blood draws.

Most studies require you to abstain from unprotected sex, for a period of time after the study, as well as, prior not to have certain drugs in your body such as cotanine (cigarettes, even second hand smoke), marijuana, caffine etc.. with different time periods prior the studies.

The studies are often filled very very quickly, so it can be difficult to actually get into a study even if you do the "screening" that is required even before you can qualify.

Spots do open up though, and there are a number of CRO's (clinical research orgnaizations)

I'm not really all too in the know on the whole thing but I have a general knowledge.

As far as I am aware a diverse group of people do these studies, some on a regular basis. There are rules in place to protect the quality of blood and health of participants. Some individuals volunteer for multiple CRO's but the CRO's generally prohibit doing studies for mulitple CRO's and you are usually only eligible for 1 study per 30 to 60 days.

This is what I am aware of anyway, you would need to check with the CRO to be certain.

Often they require you to stay at a facility for a number of days (some are short some are very long - most are comparitive studies)

Not all studies are like this, there are even "narcotic" drug studies, alchohol studies etc.. that require you to take narcotics or alchohol. There are a variety of these studies and not all are the same. They generally pay around as much as a regular job for the same period of time.

Eg. a $2000 study may be 10 days long so 240 hours or about $8.50 an hour. Or perhaps about $10-20 / hour. But usually you are fed and have access to some sorts of entertainment.
Bear in mind though you are only suppose to take part in a study every 30-60 days for health and safety reasons. meaning that perhaps you may be able to gross $10000 to perhaps up to $20000 doing studies throughout a year, although I don't know exact numbers.

Getting a medical check up befor and after is always advised espeically when dealing with medical companies you are not aware of. Illegal activity and breach of the established rules happens in all areas of society, and it is especially dangerous when it happens in the medical community.

From what i know most of the Toronto CROs have pretty good reputations.

Studies can be dangerous but you rarely hear about studies that require external facilities management (such as via ems to a hospital) or death.

Death and life long side effects can happen from a given study, and you will be advised if a study has such capacity. the side effects are as rare as anyone else taking the drug but the controlled enviornment and dosing is in place to usually prevent over dosing - overdosing however is sometimes the reason for the study, or atleast higher than regular doses. Sometimes it is much lower than regular doses.

Sideeffects are not common but generally just minor discomforts that last less than 48 hours as the drug works its way out of your system.

Some people keep coming back for more, and have absolutely no issue with the trade off.

Others may not like being turned into a pin board /walking test tube.

I was considering participating but for about the last year I have had no success in being a CRO study participant as the studies I was eligible for all filled or I had scheduling conflicts.

Working with only 1 CRO severely limits the ability to participate regularly.

I wouldn't do something like that again. You get a lot of weirdos doing this thing, and they typically need the money badly so they bitch and moan about everything. I just did it because hey why not see what's it like?

I am willing to guarantee it was some sex related product you tested.

Everything you do relates to you sticking your cock in something or someone.
