I know this kid most likely isn't part of any sort of organized crime ring dealing with smuggling in weapons and all of that, but don't you think this same kid (who is obviously willing enough to rob a house and shoot innocent people) wouldn't mind somehow (illegally) obtaining a gun?
sure, it may be a bit harder, but I'm sure it's nowhere near impossible. (again, I have no idea how things are, say in countries that have had guns outlawed before) |
There's a tonne of statistics which support the prohibition of guns.
From a practical view using Sydney as an example, unless you knew the right people to go through and then had enough money to actually pay for a gun, chances are that one of the first people you'd come across while asking would be an undercover Federal Police agent.
Kind of off-putting for most of the population.
