We lost, but the leafs are in for a loooooooong year. This will be the last time i have this avy barring more injuries.
Price played fine, only one goal was suspect. Missing 2 top 4 d men really really showed. PK is still too young to take on that workload. Our powerplay will be useless until Markov comes back...and Cammi will help too.
I was impressed by Giguere, he played a really good game. You guys are going to need consistent play like that to make the playoffs. The major thing the Leafs need to work on is the outlet passes and organization in terms of getting out of their zone. Montreal forechecked hard, but some of the slow guys on your D core have lead hands to go with their lead feet. It is great for hard hits (the size) but that lack of speed is going to be very very costly against the top tier teams.
Both teams sucked, and the game was pretty boring. I know that the ACC is not known for being the loudest building in the league, but last night there seemed to be absolutely no ambience...i didn't feel like a rivalry...it was quiet like a church. What is up with that? Could it be that the cheesiest pre game ceremony of all time took everyone out of it? |

Yeah...neither team looked very good last night. I don't think montreal needs to worry about Price, he'll do just fine.
The ACC is a boring building and the corporate fans are boring. I've never been to a game where it felt like I was amongst real fans...now that could be because I always sit in corporate zone or a box.
