This is uplifting trance before it got corrupted by ASOT/Armada/Anjunabeats. No singing about eternities, no farty housekicks and no supersaws! Just pure old good melodic trance.

This mix does what you say it does and I have to add I perfer this over your Those Who Went Astray mix.

Review time.

So I listened to this last night on a nice fall night. Really good stuff for the most part. The part from Voyager through to Energize is the best technical part of the set for me. Good progressive feel there; this was the sort of stuff Fortier/Jimmy Van M would climax with in their residency days in the states back in the late 90's. Good stuff here.

The set does not really lose stride for me until the fire & ice track. IMO, it really kills the momentum that was building up. I know it maybe difficult to choose a track to bridge from Optica into something more energetic but I just didn't feel this was the right selection.

Overall, very good effort. An enjoyable and cheese-less trance set for once. 8/10.

P.S.: I thought I was the only one who loved the Mea Culpa remix of Temptation. Funny how I've been fooling around with that track but used it completely different than you did. Awesome.

P.S.S.: Holy shit that Samui track is gorgeous

Thanx for the review!
Glad you like the ending. It's a belter of a finisher.
Very underrated track.

What a set. Wow, man, you really know how to mix trance. Tracks were outstanding, flow was set up like a brick house to finally do nothing but just explode due to the last track. Completely solid, no mistakes whatsoever. The way the tracks progressed was so appetizing, you set me up for some uplifting melodies, and you fucking delivered. Not so much a stomper, but the correct way to make a trance set. Totally ill. I don't think I've ever listened to the Mad Monkey mix, but I will as soon as I can. Those Who Went Astray didn't quite do it for me as much as I was hoping, but this set is the fucking tits. Nice work.
