The first 8 seconds were my favorite and I think that sound should be the focal point of this track IE your hook. I love that sound what is that in the first 8 seconds?

I dig the vocals the end of the track seems to lack definitive direction and everything gets a little lost. Your overall vibe is cool as hell though very original.

Dude- this is super unique! I really appreciate that distorted synthesizer riff at the beginning, I agree that the track never seems to really 'drop' but it makes it more atmospheric; it's a matter of taste, really.

The perc could use some work though.

Cheers - the sound is from my new and only analogue synth called Leipzig (£575 in case you wonder), and I pout it through this free ultra nice effect by fromage - a sort of filter distortion unit in one - then I automate the controls on that effect over time.

I agree the track got a littlke lost - my brain is prone to such ramblings - I'm trying a new approach on my latest track by getting all the key elements down quick while the inspiration lasts and then after than getting into all the nitty gritty - up to now I work in a linear fashion making each bit fully as I go but thats I think why I get a bit lost - cthat or I'm just not too good!

Cheers

Glad you think it's unique - that means a lot to me. People seem to love that riff at the start.

I actualy like the percs for once, but in the main people don't seem to digg em. For my next track I dug out Vengeance 3 samples and it was all booming away but I got bored quickly and have gone back to my more minimal deeper flava.

Cheers

Hey Rich,

Actually after having worked through the remix package I have a much greater appreciation for the perc work in this track.

In my approach to this track I have gone for a different style, same BPM though, but have worked on the bass elements a lot more. I have also adopted a slightly different structure and I changed the key. I will let you hear it when I am done but I have made good progress.

In regards to this mighty fine track I still think the main issue is the drop, and I think changing the level of the lead to give it more presence will give you what you are looking for.

The Bass swell that you have also needs to cut through the mix as I think this will generate interest and turn this track into the dirty bitch that it is meant to be. It needs to be more in your face for this to work.

To summarize I actually I think the issues that this track face are purely based on levels, nothing else.

Cheers
