Glad to see Simon Patterson getting a deserved ranking. Disappointed to see Scot Project so low and delighted that Guetta didn't win.

176. Basshunter // Skream (Tie)
Poor Skream, being on the same place at Basshunter must suck.

Also even Rusko is only at #106 there's a surprising lack of Dubstep DJs in this list.

I'd rather see Axwell place higher than Dash Berlin...and I stopped listening to Axwell in 2007.

It's disappointing that so many good techno & tech house DJs are so low on the list (mostly all below Boy George, ffs). Laurent Garnier at 244 is a travesty.

Not surprised, most people I know that are fans of the above genres didn't even vote because it's an exercise in futility and none of them need a top DJ list to know who to go see.

Watch this change in 2 years once masses catch hold of this trend. It will help that Deadmau5 is playing dubstep now.

Rusko is allready pretty damn popular. Honestly I think in 2 years the whole Brostep thing will colapse. I think it's pretty much at its peak of popularity right now.

So you're of the opinion that's he actually less popular than Boy George, yet still "pretty damn popular?"

Popularity does not always equal to DJ mag votes.

I mean look at all those Trance jocks in the top 20, they have their mindless voting robots so they score high everytime in the Top 100 vote but in reality Trance clubbing is really small nowadays.

I doubt fans of dubstep even care about DJ Mag. Why would they vote for a poll that has clearly catered to trance and electro house fans for the past few years?

It's like wondering why Armin ranks so low in RA's annual Top DJ poll.

this list shows an estimation of popularity. There are a lot of dj's who aren't in the top 250 and that are getting international gigs and being quite sucessful. To name a few Akira Kayosa & Fast Distance have been in my country several times. DNS project and beat service are starting to move worldwide and aren't in the list too.

On the other hand you've Arty who only plays in Russia (ok, Russia is damn big) and is 64 i believe...

This poll only proves that ASOT is the best widespread tool, thanks to it's 15 million listeners, i think all the trance artists on the list have airplay in ASOT and the higher the rank is higher their exposure on ASOT is. So in other words, if you are a trance producer/dj and want to be on the list, start flattering AvB.
