what about people who commit crimes after going to sports events? does this mean that sports leads to violence?

Don't know why you guys are always talking about this topic on a forum where 99% of the people believe you and agree with you.

Maybe you guys should make your analogies and arguments on forums where only 1% of the people believe you and agree with you?

Seems like every week a thread pops up about how the general public hates our scene, and you guys try to prove to the other people on this forum that they are wrong. Most of us, if not all of us, agree with you.

I heard he was listening to rap and hip-hop music. Kanye West is to blame and I think you know why.

I understand what you are saying here. Those 1% of the people are the type of people who live their life according to what society tells them to do. I feel sorry for those 1% of people, because apparently they are unable to think outside of the box.

Eh...all I'm trying to say is it's kinda dumb whenever a thread gets made like this to try and point out how dumb it is that the general public blames our scene for these kinds of deaths. I don't think I've seen anyone on this forum or any EDM forum for that matter say that the scene is to blame. So those people should take their points and arguments somewhere, where they can actually change people's opinions instead of just getting a bunch of people who already agree all fired up.

The media has always been against the rave scene since the beginning.

they need to get off its nuts.
its a bunch of ignorant reporters that don't know the scene and interpret what they see to their own favor, bad news is good news for them because they have more to talk about, and its what people that arent in the scene like to hear.

I've previously read posts here pointing out how parties can be run better, the responsibility of the organizers, and the unfortunate inherent nature of "raves" that allow minors to attend. All valid points that are constructive, imo. The event IS to blame if it is designed to draw a very young crowd that has a tendency to go overboard with drugs and putting them in an unsafe environment.(lack of ventilation, water, or security)

Having said that, I'm glad someone posted this article and we are discussing it. It makes everyone aware of the the trend in the media right now -- to point out the dangers of the EDM scene.(fair or unfair) And I think many of the analogies are logical. Just because we are getting fired up discussing this, it doesn't make it any less legitimate.

Did I say it wasn't legitimate?

I just think you guys would be better served taking your analogies/arguments to a different forum or whatever. Everyone here already knows this stuff and agrees with you. You guys should expend your energy trying to convince the others out there who feel like our scene is responsible.

Quit trolling bitch!

This forum serves as a useful outlet for discussion -- even if it's bitching and moaning. It's one of the key reasons I joined!

It's kinda ironic that with the political polarization of this country, one of the few things that right wing and left wing would both agree upon is blaming EDM for recent deaths. Left wingers don't believe in individual accountability, and everyone has to be a victim (of EDM). Right wingers have strong sense of religious based morality - they don't like EDM for obvious reasons.

Sometimes I feel like jumping out of the window when I see house on the main stage of a massive (and trance on the smallest stage). If I really lose it, I'll at least give EDM the courtesy of leaving a suicide note that blames something else random. I'm sure LA Times will latch on.

Yeah. He's fucking terrible, but I absolute hate house and electro. Personally if I saw him on the street I'd spit on him... Just being honest. His "fuck me I'm famous shirt" is annoying too.
