Well I do. If he's a pro producer, then undoubtedly he's got some info worth sharing - this isn't a fucking dumping ground for spam, and it not asking too much to just share a little info in return for free advertising.
I have no problem if someone like Lolo or mike west wants to sell their latest stuff because they have helped a ton of people over the last few years.

There have been advertisements on here before, there will be others in the future.
Yes, it would be great if professional producers shared their techniques for free, much like it would be great if we all shared our time for free helping out members of our community by doing things like meals on wheels (maybe not the best analogy, but whatever).
It's great that guys like Lolo get involved in the forum, but it's also fine that others choose not to. This sample library may well be relevant to a few producers on here, some people may buy it and get some good use out of it.

I totally hear you, and I honestly I really don't much a of problem if someone wants to flog something on here anytime but I just dislike the attitude. This place is good enough to peddle their wares but not to share as many of us do on here for nothing in return?
and these are guys who actually have something probably worth sharing in terms of knowledge, even if it's just a morcel that may only help a complete noob, but just are too lazy to do so.
I mean come on - it's not like they suddenly stumble upon this new site called TA and just give it a go for the first time. Any trance or EDM producer has run across TA at some point and knows exactly what it's about.
Yes this pack is probably useful to quite a few and that's the bit I like about it being posted here but what would it cost to just write a sentence or two on sound design or something else?
Those producers on here that take those 30 seconds to do that, have better success in sales and a far more loyal following. It's their loss if they don't realize that.
Anyway, what happened to Joel's regular production tips?

And some words for the earn some money thing: posting to a forum like this one isn't a big advertisement. It's another thing. Just thought some guys will be glad about this news.
I wasn't here before and i thought it's a great opportunity to registering here too. And maybe not only because this sample library.
Thanks for the warm welcome! |
I love how you write "you can read tons of tips on the internet", yet when it comes to finding your product the same way (google), its not enough for you.
Why not use that same logic to keep you away from this forum? Oh wait... I know... because you're a selfish greedy bastard and theres already 10 billion useless packs just like it.
First, this is the production forum, not your own personal advertising forum.
Not only did you register just to spam us, but you didn't even try to follow any rules. Thanks for disrespecting the entire forum dodohead.
As a tip for future marketing campaigns, work on developing even the tiniest bit of respect before you start pushing your product like some cheapass crack dealer. Some people might care about the advice you have to give because you're an "established" producer, but the majority don't give a fuck. I've seen better producers come to this forum, with A LOT more to offer, who were told to fuck off just like I'm telling you now.
Think about the implications of that.
EVEN IF you came here writing tuts left and right, people still would not give a shit about what you had to sell. Its really the effort and authenticity people would look at. But you DIDN'T EVEN TRY to make yourself useful in any way other then being a desperate douchebag.. who obviously doesn't have the money to pay for legit advertising... because chances are your past products have sucked just as worse as what you're selling now.
And due to all these reasons, I suggest you never come back to this forum again... even if you think you have something to offer besides ads. Take your stupid fuckn "electrolyzium" sample library, shove it up your ass, then proceed to punch yourself in the face as many times as required for you to go blind. Because being blind is the only excuse you will ever have to make this garbage work. "Electrolyzium" rolls off my tongue as smoothly as the cock I slammed down your wifes throat while simultaneously strangling that bitch like the cheap $5 whorebag she is. And she also says if you don't stop throwing your future away on worthless sample packs that shes moving in with that black guy Leroy down the street.. cause you have a tiny penis.
G/luck finding customers you leach.

I have to say, I don't understand some of the attitudes here.
I've really enjoyed some of the Sunny Lax productions over the years and I don't see anything wrong with musicians creating products for other musicians - it's been happening as long as I can remember.
Maybe if I used pirated music software I'd have more of an expectation that everything should be provided to me for free? I just don't know where this attitude comes from. As I said, it's absolutely fantastic on those occasions where a great producer shares some insights, but those occasions should be truly appreciated, not form the basis of an expectation that this is how all great producers must now act.
It seems to send a pretty clear message to any established producer that they can only enter TA on our terms, rather than choosing to participate in the manner they'd like. I sure wouldn't want to subject myself to some of the attitudes on here.

As comical as it maybe, do you really have to be so personal? Nobody deserves to be on the end of that

Well, I have to agree with DJ Rann on this. Look it's not that you're not welcome Sunny Lax, but indeed your attitude seems a bit weird. You're first post is nothing more than an advertisement, would you agree not? I've been around here for quite some time now, and I think it's just a bit of an insult to all the folk here when you come here and just advertise your own stuff. That's all. And yes, I will say it again, I enjoy alot of your tunes, that's out of the question.
