not feeling too bad about this as the stuff they have been releasing the last couple years has been horrible. 2000-2006 was gold tho.
i agree, "In Control" was the only track i liked after this period

This sucks. Archipelago is indeed one of the best trance CDs to be released in the last 10 years.
For sure they'll be missed! My top list of their work includes "Autumn Lights" and remix of "Jaia - Out Of Orbit"

However, EDM seems to be political for some people - it's not about the music itself but it's about what the music symbolises, where the music came from, who spins it and how obscure it is.

They were pretty influential back in the days when they were actually making real trance music, not the mellow dub stuff they produced in recent years. Vibrasphere shaped the typical southern swedish-progressive style psytrance, together with groups like Son Kite, Ticon and perhaps even Koxbox or Tenka/The Cujorius One. It was definitely something different compared to the goa trance, Israeli fullon or that horrible nitzhonot trance you could find around that time.

The reason why they are much less influential today is likely the reason why they decided to call it quits.
I think it's better they officially end the project instead of continuously releasing bland material like most other big names are doing today.
